Dancing, singing and musical talent brought smiles to the faces of the All Saints community last Sunday.

The Years 5 and 6 students made our School proud and touched the hearts of many during the family service recently held at the Robina Anglican Church. Our students led the service as they confidently read from the Bible, prayed, danced and played musical instruments. During communion, we were blessed with the angelic voice of Maddie Cooke as she sang accompanied by our talented musician, Mrs Lisa Mason. Our Year 6 Chapel leaders Levi Ashcroft, Bronte Reed and Ruby Sparks passionately led the congregation and their peers as we worshipped through singing and dancing.

Reverend Stewart Perry, presided over the service and was very entertaining as always. We joined the congregation at a time of lent and Rev Perry made us feel welcome with his engaging and meaningful service. Our students were asked to explain what they thought the meaning of lent is and I felt so proud of their responses. The students learned that Rev Perry dislikes tomatoes unlike our student Zoe Benham who finds it difficult to give up as a sacrifice for lent. Amber Peck confidently volunteered to receive ashes for lent.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the families for their support and the students and teachers who attended for helping to make this a memorable event. A huge thank you to Rev Perry and Dale Lennon from the Robina Anglican Church for inviting our students and their families to be part of this special service.  They always make our All Saints family welcome. Thank you to Mrs Carpenter our Service-Learning Coordinator for inviting the Year 6 Anglican church Pen Pals to be present at the service which was a special opportunity for the students to introduce them to their families.

The service provided a stunning example of joyous engagement between church and our All Saints community. We look forward to joining them again during Term 2 for the remainder of the Junior School services which are listed below. Please record these special dates into your calendars.
