Junior School Visual Art Teacher

An exciting opportunity has presented for an enthusiastic and passionate Junior Visual Art Teacher to join our dedicated, vibrant and creative Junior School learning community in 2026.

We are seeking a dynamic Art Teacher with experience in teaching and curriculum development informed by contemporary educational research. The Junior School Art Teacher will create dynamic, hands-on learning artistic learning experiences that nurture creativity and foster a lifelong interest in visual art.

Commencing term 1 2026, this is a full-time 2026 contract position.

About you

The successful candidate will be committed to providing a supportive, inclusive and inspiring visual arts classroom where all students can explore, experiment and develop their artistic voice. You will have

  • Bachelor of Education and current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
  • Proven experience and knowledge teaching visual art from prep to year 6.
  • High-level interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Enthusiastic, nurturing and committed to fostering a love of art and learning in young children.
