Middle School Teacher -Maths/Science

Our Middle School, which caters for approximately 560 students in Years 7 to 9, is specifically designed to support the unique developmental journey of early adolescents. We offer a curriculum that balances academic challenge with personal growth, empowering students to take ownership of their learning in a supportive and values-driven environment.

We are currently inviting applications from enthusiastic and qualified educators for the position of Middle School Teacher – Maths/Science. As a Middle School Teacher, you will play a vital role in guiding students through this pivotal stage, not just academically, but emotionally and socially.

This position offers the opportunity to teach Mathematics and Science in a dynamic and well-resourced environment, while actively supporting student wellbeing through purposeful pastoral care. You will be part of a collaborative teaching team that values innovation, relationships, and the holistic growth of every learner.

This is a full-time, permanent role, available for immediate commencement or as negotiated.

Key Responsibilities:

Pastoral Care & Student Wellbeing

  • Build positive, respectful relationships with students that promote trust and personal growth.
  • Take responsibility for students' welfare both in and outside the classroom.
  • Support student behaviour through fair consistent strategies.
  • Engage with families, pastoral staff, and learning support professionals to support each learner holistically.

Academic Excellence

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths and Science lessons aligned with the School’s curriculum.
  • Differentiate instruction to cater for a range of abilities, backgrounds, and learning styles.
  • Design effective assessment tasks and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Integrate technology meaningfully to support learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent standards and best practice.


Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A relevant tertiary teaching qualification and current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
  • A strong understanding of adolescent development and a passion for working with young people.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching Maths and Science within a middle years context.
  • A commitment to reflective practice and professional growth.
  • A desire to contribute fully to the spiritual, co-curricular, and community life of the School.
