Pre Prep Teacher Aide

The All Saints Pre Prep Centre is the beginning year of All Saints Anglican School. Our Centre caters for 75 students across 3 classes, offering a full time and part time program. The All Saints Pre Prep program is developed from the Queensland Kindergarten Learning guidelines and aligned by the National Early Years Learning Framework: 'Belonging Being Becoming'.

This is a fixed term, part-time position (5 days per fortnight) commencing in Term 1 2027.

About The Role

The Teacher Aide works collaboratively with the Pre Prep Teacher to support the delivery of a high-quality educational program that promotes each child's learning, development, wellbeing and sense of belonging.

  • Support the Pre Prep Teacher to deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with relevant early years frameworks and the School’s philosophy.
  • Build positive and respectful relationships with children, supporting their learning, wellbeing, independence, social development and sense of belonging.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment, supporting children with diverse learning and developmental needs and promoting cultural awareness and sustainability.
  • Provide effective supervision and behaviour support, ensuring children’s safety and wellbeing at all times.
  • Assist with observations, documentation and preparation of learning resources to support children’s progress and program planning.
  • Build positive relationships with families and colleagues, contribute to the effective operation of Pre Prep, and participate in professional development and School activities.
About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Certificate III Early Childhood or higher.
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
  • Current First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis and Emergency Asthma Management certificates.
  • Possess, or be eligible to apply for, and maintain for the duration of employment a positive notice Blue Card for child related employment
  • Previous experience in similar role.
  • Knowledge of the National Early Years Learning Framework and Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines an advantage.
  • A high level of enthusiasm and motivation with a friendly and nurturing manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with staff, parents and children.
